Monoprinting
Mononprinting is a form of printing that involves marks or lines that can only be made and produced once, this differs from other forms of printmaking as they normally allow for multiple versions of the original to be made or copied.
Firstly ink up a plate and use a roller to spread the ink evenly.
Remove any excess ink using skrim.
Lay a sheet of paper over the ink and using tools such as pencils or cotton buds, mark your image into the paper.
When the paper is removed the image will be printed in ink onto it.
Use different tools and materials to get different textures and effects, for example something smooth and soft such as a cotton bud or finger will make a soft mark into the ink, where as something hard and pointed like a pencil will make a thin sharp line.
